The Complete Slane Experience:

 

You will be welcomed into the former stables, carefully renovated into the home of Slane Irish

Whiskey, where your host will take you through the history of these magnificent buildings and Slane Irish Whiskey all whilst savoring an Irish Coffee.

 

Your visit will include an in depth tour of our unique distillery. They take great pride in triple casking each bottle of Slane Irish Whiskey and their deconstructed tasting will give you the opportunity to discover the art of blending these to create the flavour of Slane.

 

This experience lasts for 2.5 hours

Situated in the stunningly beautiful Boyne valley overlooking the River Boyne just a few miles upstream from the site of the famous Battle of the Boyne.

The Castle itself is one of the most exciting historic buildings on the island and displays the collective talents of some of Ireland and England’s most distinguished architects. The parklands were laid out by the distinguished landscape architect, Capability Brown.

 

It is also one of Ireland’s most famous music venues. 

​

Acts such as Metallica, U2, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kings Of Leon, David Bowie, Queen and REM have performed at Slane.

​

U2, uniquely, have performed three times at the venue – playing support to the renowned Irish band, Thin Lizzy, who headlined Slane with their first show in 1981.

​

U2 also recorded their album and lived at the castle for three months recording the album.
